Hailing from the rugged west coast of Norway, Slomosa has emerged as one of the most exciting forces in modern heavy rock. The four piece consisting of Benjamin Berdous (guitar, vocals), Marie Moe (bass, vocals), Tor Erik Bye (guitar), and Jard Hole (drums) coined their own genre, Tundra Rock, a powerful fusion of desert rock grooves, towering riffs, raw melodies, and the stark atmosphere of the Nordic landscape.
Drawing inspiration from bands like Kyuss and Black Sabbath, Slomosa has forged a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably their own.
Following the breakout success of their self-titled 2020 debut, Slomosa built an international reputation through relentless touring and explosive live
performances. In 2023, they unveiled Cabin Fever, the first taste of their highly anticipated sophomore album. That momentum culminated in the
release of Tundra Rock in 2024, a critically acclaimed record that firmly established the band as one of heavy music's most compelling new voices. The album went on to earn the 2025 Spellemann Award for Rock Album of
the Year, marking another major milestone in the band's rapid ascent.
As their audience has grown across Europe and North America, so has the scale of their live presence. Slomosa has lit up festival stages including Hellfest, Tons of Rock, Bergenfest, Summer Breeze, and Resurrection Fest, while sharing the stage with artists such as Alkaline Trio, Helmet, Mastodon, All Them Witches and Elder. In 2026, the band completed their first ever North American headline tour, selling out every date and further cementing their reputation as one of heavy rock's most exciting live acts.
