„These Heathen Lands“ Tour
Spirit Adrift mussten die Tour leider absagen und haben uns ein Statement geschickt:
“We were thrilled to join Green Lung on tour, but family obligations take first priority no matter what. My family is dealing with some challenging and serious circumstances, and I need to be here for my loved ones. I urge all our fans to attend the shows and have a great time. Spell is a perfect replacement and the shows are going to rule. We love you, thanks for understanding.”
Green Lung brachten bereits mit ihren ersten beiden Alben eine Folk-Horror-Sensibilität in den Okkult-Rock, die in der Szene für einiges an Aufsehen gesorgt hat. Und "This Heathen Land" ist das bisher vollständigste und reifeste Werk der Band und erfüllt ihr lang gehegtes Ziel, in den Worten von Sänger Tom Templar "den definitiven Soundtrack zu dem Folk-Horrorfilm in unseren Köpfen zu schaffen". Beibehalten aber wurde natürlich die sabbatianische Härte und die fesselnde Songkunst, die ihre früheren Alben schon so unwiderstehlich wirken ließen. Von der Covergrafik über die Vinylbeilagen bis hin zu den lyrischen Themen ist das Album ein sorgfältig ausgeführter Liebesbrief des Heavy Metal an die folkloristische Landschaft Großbritanniens.
