Chrysta Bell is a performing artist, recording artist and actress who incorporates dynamic theatrical and multimedia elements into unforgettable performance experiences.
By 18 she had become lead vocalist for the popular Austin, Texas- based continental swing act, 8 ½ Souvenirs. During a four year run with the band she was signed to RCA Victor, featured on Austin City Limits, and shared the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson and Brian Setzer.
At age 21 she had a fateful meeting with legendary artist David Lynch, and the two began a lasting musical partnership which yielded the dream pop album This Train(2011), the song “Polish Poem” from the sound track to INLAND EMPIRE(2006), and the eerie and ethereal EP Somewhere in the Nowhere(2016).
Her most recent collaboration with Lynch was on set of the internationally acclaimed Twin Peaks: The Return. In her television acting debut, Lynch cast Chrysta Bell in a leading role of FBI Agent Tammy Preston, acting alongside Lynch himself, Laura Dern and Miguel Ferrer.
In June of 2017, Chrysta Bell released her sophomore album with Mercury Prize- winning producer John Parish, long time P.J. Harvey collaborator and producer. We Dissolve was met with critical acclaim worldwide.
On April 5th of 2019, she released her 4th studio album, titled Feels Like Love. The new album finds Chrysta Bell delving in darker territory, with influences of new wave, post punk and disco. As always, her powerful, distinctive contralto deliveries are seamless.

With Fetish 69, one of Austria's most radical bands, Christian Fuchs once scorched his way through the international industrial rock scene; with Bunny Lake he rendered homage to danceable electro pop with equal success; with the Neigungsgruppe Sex, Gewalt & Gute Laune he helped redefine the modern Wienerlied. In his solo project Black Palms Orchestra the singer and composer brings together all these roots and many other influences. The new album "Tropical Gothic" (SeaYou Records) refers on the one hand to feverish rock'n'roll and blues traditions. Including legendary protagonists from this genre, like Jonas Almquist, the singer of the Swedish 80ies rocker The Leather Nun.
On the other hand, the Black Palms Orchestra is deeply anchored in the current vibrant Austrian scene. Through his past Christian Fuchs is friends with a network of musicians. Like the debut album "Sad Moon Rising", "Tropical Gothic" was created free of rigid band structures with Austrian guest singers from different generations, but also international names. In addition to Jonas Almquist, "Tropical Gothic" also features US indie singer Scott McCloud from Girls Against Boys.
All these and other voices fit into an album that celebrates the desire for opposites, as the title already signals: Tropical Gothic" stands for sunburn and darkness, religion and sex, road movie romance and apocalyptic images. Christian Fuchs, who also toured the dance clubs with Bunny Lake's Electropop, blends tribal rock'n'roll, sinister electronics and cinematic pop.
