"Leider müssen wir euch mitteilen, dass es auch dieses Jahr kein Vienna Metal Meeting geben wird.
Wir als Organisation haben uns wirklich bemüht eventuell noch mit einen Plan B durchzustarten, aber auch dafür gibt es momentan noch zu viele Unsicherheiten.
Da wir eine Vorlaufzeit von 3 Monaten benötigen müssen wir jetzt also leider die Reißleine ziehen, und haben uns entschieden das Festival nicht zu verschieben, sondern abzusagen.
Dies da auch einige für uns wichtige Bands für nächstes Jahr noch nicht zusagen konnten.Wir machen selbstverständlich weiter mit dem VMM, werden es aber fast 1,5 Jahre verschieben, und zwar auf den 7. und 8. Oktober 2022.
Zwei Tage also, und nur indoor, wobei wir das Festival wieder etwas kleiner und exklusiver gestalten werden.
Wichtig für diejenigen die für dieses Jahr Karten gekauft haben: - Wien-Xtra Soundbase / Jugendinfo sperrt per 1. April zu. Bitte beantragt schnellstmöglich euren Ticket-Refund- Diejenigen die bei Ticketmaster eingekauft haben, können bis am 1. Juni 2021 ihr Geld zurückfordern. Ihr bekommt in den nächsten Tagen ein mail von Ticketmaster mit der genauen Vorgehensweise der Kartenrücksendung.- Wer uns supporten möchte kann auf www.district-19.com/shop fündig werden. Hier gibt's auch noch VMM Merchandise und Tonträger einiger Bands, die auch am Festival gespielt hätten.

"While it surely will come as no surprise to anyone, this year’s Vienna Metal Meeting will not happen.
Like last year, we don’t postpone the event but have to cancel. As unfortunately some of the now announced bands will not be available next Spring or at all.
This means everyone can claim its ticket money back and we’ll present you a fresh line-up for next year's edition.
Also VMM will be moved to Fall and take place on the 7th & 8th of October 2022.
So it will not be an Open Air anymore. We continue inside, but will make it a 2 day event, in order to attract even more international visitors.
Ticket refunds for this year's cancelled edition can be claimed at your point of purchase until the 1st of June 2021. Ticketmaster will send an email about the refund procedure to their customers. Please follow the instructions.
Important: If you bought your ticket at Wien-Xtra Soundbase / Jugendinfo shop in Vienna, please go for it before the 1st of April as this company is going to close its doors!
